So called "inclusive spirituality" of the Pagan Sporting Festivals!

Hello One and All,
There has been a move in the homeland to apply for permission for
Cornwall to compete in the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.
Visit the following site to read more of this: www.ccga.org.ukUnfortunately this move has been stonewalled by England and could not
get any support at all from the Duke or Duchess of Cornwall (surprise) !!!!
As one very noted Genealogist here in Melbourne wrote:
Tom,
I read in this week's Weekly Telegraph (UK):Cornwall seeks entry to games
A GROUP of Cornish nationalists is applying to be allowed to enter a
team in next year's Commonwealth Games in Australia. It points out
that Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man compete separately. But the
Commonwealth Games Federation, which vets new applicants, said it had no chance' because Cornwall was an English county.
B----y English at it again!
Regards, Peter
If Cornwall is an English County then please tell me of another
county of England with it's own Head of State, Parliament and Language ?
Cornwall like Wales, Scotland etc is a Celtic Country As a song
written in very recent times states "Cornwall's not a County that's
sited in the West Cornwall is a Country the one we love the best"
With the huge, in fact massive Cornish Diaspora here in Australia
could you imagine the cheers if a Cornish Team marching proudly behind
the Banner of St.Piran entered the Melbourne Cricket Ground along with
the other nations of the Commonwealth.
After all Aussie, Aussie, Aussie and Oggy, Oggy, Oggy are not that far apart.

Ley Lines

I made a comment in response to Matt Stones blog entry about Ley Lines, Feng Shui and Celtic ideas of "thin places". Interesting thoughts and a beautiful Australian site on emerging spirituality in general! Some great Aussie Indigenous Icons!

Ray Simpson’s Aussie Tour
I met Ray Simpson on a pilgrimage of ‘holy’ places in the UK 18 months ago. Ray lives on a tiny tidal island called Lindisfarne (also known as Holy Island), off the east coast of England. Ray was in his mid sixties and me in my mid twenties, however I sensed a real connection with this intriguing introvert. I didn’t know much about Ray when I was at Holy Island; however I discovered that he is the founder and Guardian of a contemporary Celtic Christian community, the Community of Aidan and Hilda, which is a dispersed global network of people concerned about spirituality for modern society.

In Memory of John Bolitho 1929-2005
Jowan an Cleth 1929-2005For my first post I wish to pay tribute to John Bolitho who died on December 5th after battling cancer. (We are pictured here together at the Kernewek Lowender, Moonta 2003). John served as the Grand Bard of the Cornish Gorssed and was patron of the Victorian Association. He was passionate about Cornwall, the links with Australia and loved singing. I will never forget his haunting rendition of The Lords Prayer singing unaccompanied in Kernewek at St Pirans Day Celebrations in the Bendigo Methodist Church. The spiritual substance of such moments is what I am seeking to explore through this site.
